Appleton Campus Class Helps with Animal Shelter Fundraiser

The spring 2016 global citizenship class assisted in creating items to be sold at an upcoming fundraiser for the Neenah Animal Shelter. These items included animal rights/support ribbon pins, camouflage dog toys, and animal-themed magnets. The Neenah Animal Shelter is a community partner for the GU-Appleton Campus.

“This was a fun opportunity for the students to show their creative side, while giving back to the community,” instructor Amanda Loewen said.

A garage sale fundraiser for the shelter will be held on Saturday, June 18. GU-AP Day Administrative Assistant, Jenni Eisch, is leading the cause.

“It’s overwhelming to see the support and donations from others wanting to help the shelter,” Jenni said.  She’s been a volunteer with the shelter since 2013.
