January 15, 2015

In this episode, I interview Dr. Charles Reigeluth who is Professor Emeritus of Instructional Systems Technology at Indiana University.   The interview focuses on a recent book Dr. Reigeluth wrote titled: Reinventing Schools: It’s Time to Break the Mold.

The interview begins with Dr. Reigeluth discussing the impetus for his new book. He discusses the need for a paradigm-shift in public schools to a focus on a learner-centered approach to education. He goes on to discuss how he sees teacher education needing to change in order to help prepare teachers for this paradigm. Dr. Reigeluth ends by giving advice about fostering a paradigm shift in public education.
