European EdTech Raised over €62 Million in Q4 2016

The European EdTech Market ended the year on another high with 26 startups raising over €62 million from over 50 investors in the fourth quarter.

Deals have been spread quite evenly across the three months. La French EdTech took the lionshare in the fourth quarter, raising over €35 million across seven rounds. UK EdTech came back after a slow year, raising nearly £13 million across seven rounds. Germany, Denmark and Sweden had three rounds each.

The strongest vertical in Q4 was K-12 with 8 startups raising a total of over €18 million, followed by Higher Education with seven rounds and a total of over €12 million.
