After receiving rejection letter after rejection letter, you’d think someone might just give up on their dream. But not Jason Helgeson, in his words, he kept after it. Jason recently shared his compelling and inspiring story with Globe University graduates from our Green Bay and Appleton campuses.

He started attending college for business and lasted one semester because he found it was boring. So he got to thinking: What makes me tick? What makes me excited?

He loved sports and actually ended up working at a local athletic shoe store. He decided that exercise physiology was a better major.

Helgeson had a dream to someday work for the Green Bay Packers.

Apparently, about 400 other people had the same dream. After getting his first rejection from the Packers they explained, “I don’t know what you were thinking you went to a college that didn’t have football and you don’t have a lot of experience, so good luck.”
