Freebie Friday: Cutout People Video

You’ve come to know and love our cutout people images as a staple of your eLearning courses. It’s great to have a character you can plop into the middle of any scene or situation. That’s the value of alpha channels: the ability to selectively add transparency to the pixels of an otherwise rectangular image.

But did you know you could do the same with videos? Using similar processes that you’d use on static images, you can render a video as a moving cutout character. Just like the still images, you can place these characters on any background you choose, performing a variety of simple motions, expressions, and gestures.
