So, you’re finally feeling confident using your iPad…you’ve got the basics down, you’ve loaded some apps, and you’d like to start letting students use your iPad during class. But you’ve got a pit in your stomach about it: “What if they ‘wander’ from the program they’re supposed to be using? How can I be sure they’re using the app I want them to use?”
Well, you’re not the only teacher (or parent) to worry about this. Apple has built in a setting, called Guided Access, that will allow you to “lock down” your iPad in any app. When Guided Access is turned on, it allows you to open an app and then restrict the user from exiting that app without a passcode.
