To apply the cool features of PowerPoint, you’ll first need to have an idea of what you want to accomplish for the audience. Here are a few ideas, based on my experience:
A. Analyze some TV commercials and magazine ads you like. What’s appealing? What captured your attention? What ideas can you use in PowerPoint lessons?
B. More is not better; how minimal can you make each slide? It’s okay to use a lot of slides.
C. A blend of consistency (colors, style, formats, terminology, etc.) and creativity for learner impact are your goals.
Once you know which direction the training should go, you can begin to incorporate some of the features below to engage your learners:
