Thinking Scale in the Indian Higher Education EdTech Space.

I have been privileged enough to be a part of an ed-tech accelerator and also get access to business plans in the Edtech space due to our seed fund.

There have been some excellent pitches made which, I believe, are definitely going to create a positive impact within the learning space in India.

The only question that I have for the founders is scale. What do they think scale in India is — is achieving scale possible, what are you doing to make sure you get there.

Most, infact more than 90% of the answers to the above question are despairingly unsatisfactory.

Just to give you an idea of the scale that India Higher Education represents

According to the 2014–2015 AISHE Provisional Report, there are now 757 universities; 38,056 colleges; and 11,922 standalone institutions in the country.
