How do you get your learners engaged with their development and their jobs? The answer lies in giving them something they can enjoy, rather than forcing the same dry content in their faces.

When you were a kid, you probably had a lot of wild ideas about what you’d do when you grew up. Maybe you dreamed of becoming a fire fighter or a velociraptor – in any case, whatever it was, it had the air of awesomeness about it.

It’s doubtful that there’s a child alive who looks forward to a career in chartered accountancy or retail management. In that way, you can see how people disengage from their jobs when they realise that they’ll never be Spiderman.
