Assessments are a very essential part of an eLearning course. Assessments are the way to track the learners performance which indicates how well they have understood the content delivered. Though assessments are very important, we sometimes tend to commit mistakes while creating them.
Here are a few tips to avoid these mistakes.
1. Do not create too easy or too difficult questions: The objective behind creating assessments is to test your learners’ understanding and not confuse them by asking tricky or difficult questions. Sometimes, we use the “distractors” in such a way that the answer would be too obvious. We can avoid this problem by ensuring that the distractors and the correct answer look similar and are of the same length.
2. Align the questions with learning objectives: Every learning objective must have at least one assessment question. This help us evaluate whether the learning is accomplished or not. Make sure that the question is testing on the same thing that is being told in the learning objective.
