#511 Need anonymity? Blur those faces in YouTube!

This tip has come off the back of a support request I’ve had this week. The academic wanted to share example recordings of students completing mock interviews, but didn’t want the students faces to be shown….the YouTube Blur feature did the trick!

This handy little tool in YouTube will automatically detect faces for you and you can choose which to blur out. It works best for fairly static faces, but you can make it more sensitive…or blur things that aren’t faces…using the Blur Object tool (unfortunately we didn’t have time to cover that in this video!).

Don’t want to share the video through YouTube? No problem! You can download the video with the blurred effect intact!
