Collecting your GCSE results today? Don’t worry, we’re here to tell you this: no matter how well or badly you’ve done in your GCSEs, there are a few people who did a lot worse. Oh and they just happen to be quite rich and successful too. So it goes to show that a few bad grades are not going to stop you from achieving your dreams!
1. Sir Richard BransonYou may not know it, but Sir Richard Branson has severe dyslexia, which caused him to struggle a lot at school. But he wasn’t going to let his learning difficulties get in the way of his dreams. As founder of Virgin Group which is comprised of over 400 companies, he has achieved more than most people could even dream about.
2. Lord Alan SugarBest known from the TV programme, The Apprentice, Sir – sorry, LORD, Alan Sugar is a no-nonsense, gritty businessman. And you would have to be if you managed to go from being a grocery sales assistant to the Head of a Global trading firm. But how did he do with GCSEs? Not great actually – he quit school at 16 with only one to his name!
