Add Some Living Coral to Your eLearning With the 2019 Pantone Color of the Year

Every year in December, Pantone picks a “color of the year” for the coming year. Who is Pantone and why do they get to decide? Well, in 1963, Pantone helped the printing industry standardize colors with the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM®, a tool allowing for the faithful selection, articulation and reproduction of consistent, accurate color anywhere in the world. The tool organizes color standards through a proprietary numbering system and chip format. Because of this, we’re able to have consistency in branding and more! Since then, they’ve expanded their reach from printing and design to lifestyle products, color consulting, and more.

For the past 20 years, Pantone has picked a “color of the year” based on fashion, decorating, design and cultural trends, as well as “how colors can embody our collective experience and reflect what is taking place in our global culture at a moment in time,” according to press release from Pantone.
