Adding an Animation on Clicking an Object

I am working on a process chart that has several images/shapes.  One of these is grouped into one group of objects/shapes.  I want this whole group to disappear on the click of another object, or a button, that is on the slide.  Is it possible to do this?  From what I see, the only animation trigger that I can use for the group of objects is “(Self) Time-based animation”.

From an instructional design perspective, I want the animation to happen when the user clicks on the object to trigger the group of objects to disappear.  The time-based animation trigger won’t be useful since I don’t know how long the instructor/learners will spend discussing the process chart before the object group needs to disappear.
