Another Strong Quarter for European EdTech as Investments Double

Interest in European EdTech investments does not seem to dwindle down anytime soon, to the contrary.

The market started with yet another strong first quarter, nearly doubling the number of investments and total raised compared to Q1 2016.

In Q1 2017, 23 edtech startups from 10 different countries raised over €43 million from over 45 individuals and VC firms.

The average round was between €500k and €2 million with SmartUp ($5.5m), Simplon (€4.75m) and Adaptemy (€3m) coming in second to fourth place.
