Campus Vaccination Clinic Raises Money for Local Animal Hospital

Globe University-Woodbury campus Student Chapter of National Veterinary Technicians in America (SCNAVTA) hosted a vaccination clinic fundraiser to help raise money for the Angel Fund for the Hudson Animal Hospital located across the street from the campus.

Students and staff brought in their pets for a variety of services including vaccinations, microchips, heartworm or FeLV/FIV tests, nail trims, and ear cleanings. The students serviced more than 26 cats and dogs at the vaccination clinic fundraiser.

According to SCNAVTA President, Sheila Lambrecht, the event was a “general visit” clinic, and therefore didn’t see much for unique cases. However, a deer tick was found on the floor and the technician educated the owner on Lyme’s Disease.
