Here’s an interesting service that more and more teachers are finding useful, Remind.com (formerly remind101.com). It’s a third party messaging service which makes it possible for a teacher to send messages to students or parents without using the teacher’s or the students’/parents’ personal contact information. Everyone can get messages through the convenience of modern communication methods without surrendering any privacy.
Through Remind.com, a teacher can send out either email, SMS messages, or push notifications through a Remind.com app (not required), all depending on what the student/parent has selected. Since the receiver chooses how they’d like to get the messages, the teacher only needs to send out one and it finds its way to the whole class.
