The Challenge
Organisations providing adult and children's services across the Teeswide area wanted an ongoing programme of safeguarding training to keep both their own employees and partners up-to-date on the latest national standards.
The three safeguarding partnerships - Teeswide Safeguarding Adults Board (TSAB), Hartlepool and Stockton-on Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSSCP) and the South Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership (STSCP) – joined forces to commission training to meet the needs of more than 10,000 professionals and practitioners who are in contact with vulnerable adults and children in the area.
They wanted to provide good quality safeguarding training, appropriate to a wide range of roles, for the maximum number of learners. To achieve this they also needed to have a flexible system which learners could access at a time and place to suit them and their employers which minimises the disruption to service delivery.
