I am the “coach” for my daughter’s Rube Goldberg team which has been a great experience so far. We are working to crush a soda can and then recycle it which has proven to be quite a challenge.
Each Friday morning we work for an hour before school – building, growing, expanding, screwing up, fixing, and hopefully progressing. As our school’s seven Rube Goldberg teams work, a GoPro hangs in the corner, capturing the “progress”.
The teacher that is facilitating the Rube Goldberg initiative at our school hangs his GoPro each morning and takes a picture every minute. At the end of each session, he strings his 60 new pictures to the end of his growing timeline in order to create a very cool stop-motion view of our development.
I love this use of a GoPro.
