Geographically, the Northwest Council for Computer Education, NCCE, is helping integrate educational technology and the internet in classrooms from Avery to US Virgin Islands.
NCCE members used Palm Pilot portable computing devices to conduct their work in the early days.
CEO Dr. Heidi Rogers has been along for much of this journey.
“We started with Palm Pilots, and look where we are now,” Rogers said. “Cloud-based computing, Microsoft Teams, Google. All these focused apps that focus on specific learning tools.”
Rogers, a proud Oklahoma State University graduate, celebrates 20 years with the Northwest Council for Computer Education in September, a nonprofit organization founded in 1971 dedicated to supporting practical uses of technology in education.
