If you spend five minutes with the current massage therapy students at Globe University-Eau Claire you will be inspired. This is a group of caring and selfless individuals. They are constantly looking for ways to give back to the community and share the gift of massage.
Recently, the students provided free massages to women veterans as part of the annual Women Veterans Retreat event. This annual event helps provide resources and camaraderie to women veterans in Wisconsin. It was held at the Trinity Equestrian Center, right here in Eau Claire.
The students were eager to help the veterans in need of relaxation and stress reduction. According to Jeaneen Roberts, Massage Therapy Program Chair, massage therapy can help those suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD).
