EDBRIEF: CareerFoundry raises six-figure Seed Round

Berlin-based CareerFoundry raised a six-figure seed round led by Tengelmann Ventures with participation of Stefan Glänzer and Paul Föckler of Mendeley.

Last year the startup raised a €250.000 angel round from Glänzer, the new round brings the total funding into the seven digits.

Founded in 2013 by Raffaela Rein and Martin Ramsin, CareerFoundry aims to tackle the “skills-gap” in Europe by providing online courses in tech skills like web development and user experience design.

With the new round of founding the team plans to grow the selection of courses into other verticals like marketing and mobile development. CareerFoundry also partnered with a renown German business school to offer a course that will teach needed tech skills for the startup space. The course “Startup Skills 101” will also offer ECTS credit upon completion.
