With the workforce drastically changing — a larger percentage of younger employees, and that number continuing to increase until 2025 — I’m constantly noodling on the learning needs and requirements of this younger and more tech-savvy generation. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that continuous learning opportunities are uber-important to this generation and can be a deciding factor for whether an employee chooses to stay or leave a company.
I find myself spending a lot of time thinking about how to up my creative juices to develop engaging and entertaining training. Right now, I’m on a video-clip kick. I love using video clips in training to demonstrate and allow observation or listening with visuals. As I browse through my Facebook posts, I see more and more quick videos being shared, and some of them are surprisingly good with just a smartphone. So why couldn’t you use your smartphone to do small video clips and save the cost of expensive video production? I decided to investigate.
