Friday Regulatory Roundup – Dec. 22nd Edition

California Public Utilities Commission Portfolio

December 20 – California released its annual Renewable Portfolio Standard report back in November. If you are as bad at reading these things as me, the stuff in there is new news. The big takeaway from the report is that the state’s three investor-owned utilities are planning to offer 50% of their electricity from renewables by 2020. That’s big news from a state that previously marked 2030 as the point to be at 50%.
