Norwegian game-based learning platform Kahoot! has raised a $10 million round led by Fredrik Cassel at Creandum, current investor Tellef Thorleifsson at Northzone and Nagraj Kashyap at Microsoft Ventures. The latest round brings the startup’s total raised to $16.5 million.
Launched in 2013, Kahoot! is used by over 3.5 million teachers across the globe with its largest user base in the United States. According to the startup, Kahoot! has over 30 million monthly users and a library of 10 million games.
The new funding will be used to develop new games, to grow the international team, as well as to launch new applications for brands and publishers.
