Next week marks the beginning of global celebrations around Earth Day, the annual event intended to build awareness of and support for environmental protection. For more than 50 years, people have remembered the day with a number of activities. The various events around the world can be a useful frame to teach students of all ages to integrate civic, scientific, mathematical, and other forms of reasoning, thinking, and learning. Here’s what you should know about Earth Day events happening April 20–22.
