Globe Education Network Gives Back to Communities With Day of Service

Globe Education Network (GEN) hosted its ninth annual We Care Community Service Day on Friday, June 17, 2016. Hundreds of employees from Globe University and Minnesota School of Business, Minnesota School of Cosmetology, and the Institute of Production and Recording (IPR) volunteered their time with 21 organizations.

Employees from the corporate office and campuses in Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota spent the day helping a variety of organizations.

The Richfield campus helped the city of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department by cleaning a few parks, Rochester employees volunteered at Channel One Food Bank, Wausau helped with projects at the Lincoln County Humane Society and Sioux Falls raised about $1,000 for Ronald McDonald House with a community rummage sale. Two employees also worked remotely from Florida and volunteered at their local food shelf, boxing and delivered food…just to name a few projects.
