Goodbye moodle.net, Hello MoodleNet!

Over the last year or so we’ve been keeping you up to date with the progress on the new MoodleNet, our open social media platform for educators. Initially focusing on collaboratively curating collections of open content, MoodleNet is going to become THE place to share and learn from each other to improve the quality of education.

In order to move forward with this, we need to make a few changes which might impact you. From August 2019, the content on our current community sharing site, moodle.net will be closed and the contents archived. Let’s look at what this actually means for Moodlers:


I am an educator. How will moodle.net closing down affect me?

If you were previously given permission to share your courses directly from your Course administration settings, you will no longer be able to do so.  See our guide Sunsetting moodle.net for more information. You will still be able to download and use content from the moodle.net archive in your Moodle courses.
