GU – Eau Claire Invites Boys and Girls Club to College

Community service day is an annual event at Globe University-Eau Claire, where faculty and staff go out into the community to volunteer. This year, the staff decided to take a different approach and bring the volunteerism to campus. The result was a day spent with kids from the Chippewa Falls Boys and Girls Club. And it turned into the kick-off event of the summer.

The kids had a full day of fun and activities, which were designed to engage their teamwork and creativity skills. There were relay and team-based activities along with art and gardening projects.

The Eau Claire Police Department and Fire Department also joined in for the day and gave tours of a fire truck and talked to kids about safety. Community partners helped with donations for the kids. The community partners included: Taco Johns, Hardees, ConAgra, and Fired Up Pizza Company.
