The knowledge crisis in the corporate world is becoming greater. Technology has provided access to information, but now employees are drowning under data. They have to deal with a huge amount of information and often are unable to find the actual answers. 

So many times an employee is found saying “Oh! I did not know I was supposed to do it this way!” This is indicative of a knowledge gap. Organizations need to identify these gaps and resolve it. If an employee is unaware of what to do in a particular situation, then it is sure to reflect in his work in terms of unsatisfactory customer service, missed sale opportunities, and so on.
