How to facilitate informal learning?

Yesterday I attended a Leader Lunch organized by Kumikata at the facilities of Koninklijke Visio in Huizen. During the presentation by Koninklijke Visio the following question got me thinking: How to facilitate informal learning?

Informal learning is an important factor in the 70:20:10 methodology. At the same time, it’s also a sometimes difficult to grasp concept. You can of course, structure informal learning a bit by providing performance support tools. But there are also people who learn by doing or experimenting. After some research and brainstorming I found the following ways to facilitate informal learning:

Provide the already mentioned performance support tools, for example specific Apps Informel knowledge-sharing meetings. For example organize a lunch table where everybody practices their French in order to improve that language Communities of practice Setting up a knowledge bank orwiki Providing leaners with a buddy/mentor
