How to Prepare for a Video Interview

You may have been watching Channel 4’s “The Job Interview” and picked up on what to do and what not to do in a job interview. But what if you’re preparing for a video interview? Since video has become such a big part of the way we communicate, many companies are starting to use it over traditional, face-to-face interviews. So how should you best prepare? We’re going to share some best practices with you.

1. Check your internet connection

There’s nothing worse than the internet cutting out just when you need it. Whether your interviewer wants you to use Skype, Google Hangouts or some other software, make sure your internet is working properly beforehand. Interviews can last anywhere between 30 mins to over an hour – don’t let a poor internet connection cut out and stop your flow!
