Providing effective diversity, equity, and inclusion training to leadership has been a challenge for decades. The research continues to mount proving that D&I programs are not achieving the desired results. And yet, D&I is a major contributor to job satisfaction along with recruiting and retention of top talent.
Much like any other form of training, absorption is a matter of engagement and follow up with learners to ensure the learning objectives are making a significant impact on behavior in the workplace. In other words, you either continue to learn or you are likely to forget. L&D needs to provide a more robust D&I training offering to ensure that information remains relevant days, weeks, and years after it’s been presented to learners.
