I am world’s worst aspiring minimalist (except for hoarders)

During the time period I was all hopped up on becoming a minimalist (pretty much the past two years) I placed 119 orders on Amazon. This means UPS delivers an Amazon package to my house roughly once a week. (I don’t see my siblings as often as I see the UPS guy and they live within walking distance of my home.) This is not the behavior of a long-time aspiring minimalist, this is the behavior of a professional consumer. It’s not something I’m remotely proud of.

What made me say “enough is enough” is the cheap cardboard sign I just bought that says, “Meeting In Progress: Do Not Disturb.” I have new, loud neighbors who like to congregate outside my office so I thought it would be a nice passive aggressive way to say hi while also covering an unpainted square on my door from the previous tenant. The sign is described as a “Shabby Chic Style Home Accessory.” Here are the two latest reviews (written one week after I bought it):
