As important as it is for a customer education team to produce effective training, you are not just playing the role of learning experience designer (LXD). You are in charge of making sure your training content gets to the right customers, just like a product manager does with products. In other words, instructional designers, should take the best of what product managers do and treat training as a product. After all, training is your product.
