After reading this from Andrew Jacobs, Joining Instructions, I felt obliged to comment/reply:

“You WILL be at THIS place at THIS time for THIS duration with THESE people. You WILL START at this time and FINISH at this time.”

I have never liked to be told what to do, where to go, or how to do it, but appreciate there are situations where I have to uphold/adhere to the ‘rules’ (and the law). As someone who identifies as being creative, who works in a creative field/industry and someone who works and manages with highly creative individuals, I don’t want to have ‘rules’ forced on me or to force ‘rules’ and instructions on them either.

For me, the more restrictions that are placed on me, the more constricted I feel and the worse I perform. Give me a more flexible, freer schedule and I will work to fill it. The more space I have (given or taken) the more you will get from me; if nothing else to prove your faith and confidence in me was and is well justified.
