Is E-Learning Saving You Money?

Can e-learning save you money?  Yes.  If it is done right. It’s a fact that by implementing e-learning as an alternate source to instructor-led classroom training, a company will significantly save on flight, transportation, lodging and meals for employee’s travel because e-learning can be taken anywhere at anytime throughout the world without too much downtime at work. Granted, there are some e-learning’s that have been quickly put together without analysis and evaluation/testing and inevitably fail because of that tried and true adage; “Failure to plan is a plan for failure”. In order meet training budget, use a structured e-learning methodology, such as the ADDIE model.  Add in learning measurements with an LMS.  Ensure a pilot testing group is in place and was a training win or not, and you’ll have a good start on ROI. By having a structured method, such as ADDIE in place for e-learning training, your investment will truly be a successful return.
