James Cook University selects Talis Aspire to improve reading list provision and copyright compliance

Following a formal tendering process, James Cook University (JCU) has selected Talis Aspire to manage and deliver its online reading lists service with integrated copyright management.

JCU aims to improve the quality of their reading list provision with Talis Aspire. To enhance the access to resources, they plan to integrate reading lists with their Learning Management System (LMS) Blackboard Ultra through the Talis Aspire Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) tool. They will also improve copyright compliance through the management of acquisitions and copyrighted resources through Talis Aspire.

Talis Aspire will also be integrated with JCU’s Library Management Solution, SirsiDynix Horizon and their Discovery Tool, Summon. This will provide a seamless way to add resources to reading lists, and provide direct links to these resources for their students, including real-time library holding information and single sign-on access where relevant.
