Keeping Green Screen simple

There are loads of tutorials out there about various ways of using green screen in the classroom. There are even more companies offering GreenScreen kits... Please don't waste your money on them if you have at least one iPad in your classroom!

This week I am presenting several workshops around the topic of green screening (or chromakey technology). Having walked into several schools and seen the large amount of wasted money on this kind of technology, Id like to give some guidance...

There are several products and companies out there who are ripping schools off left right and centre. One school (who were pretty much 1:1 with iPad) spent over £2k on a box of green screen ‘items’ - an over the top Windows laptop, Adobe Premiere & After Effects (professional level apps), a video camera (old tech now), and a range of studio level tripods, stands and fabric… oh and a morning session with a trainer to get used to using it…
