L&D Professionals: Beware! Between now and not so many years your job will become extinct! We are living in a changing world and that means that we as L&D Professionals will have to change as well.

If you have been following the trends, you will no doubt have heard about 70:20:10, about Performance Consulting, and lately the discussions about whether we even need a Learning & Development department at all! You will know about MOOC’s, about flipping the classroom, about e-learning, blended learning, learning on the job, gamification, workplace learning etc. etc. etc.

So what do you do with this knowledge? Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride? No! Unless you are a heir(ess), or have won the lottery, you will probably have (quite) a few professional years ahead of you. So in order to survive and to be sure you’ll have a job a few years from now, you will need to change as well.
