January may be just another month on the calendar, but it’s also a powerful milestone. The start of a new year naturally causes all of us to think about how far we’ve come, how far we need to go, and whether we’re on the right track.
So, what does it mean for LMS vendors, when the flood of January forecasts rolls in from technology trend spotters?
From our perspective as a learning tech innovator, the best predictions shouldn’t be new or surprising. Instead, they’re more like benchmarks that correspond with our product roadmap.
We don’t think of them as lists of shiny new features we must bolt onto our LMS to elevate its “coolness” factor. Instead, we look for indicators about where we can add more value by helping organization resolve their biggest learning issues. Or, to quote The Lean Startup:
