Last year, several departments on campus began talking about the need for a way to deliver eLearning to our campus constituencies. This vision did not include students, however. We do not offer online courses and our faculty use Moodle when they require such a tool to support what they are doing in the classroom.

After some back and forth, our division, Library and Information Services, felt we could build our own solution which fit our needs better–both in the quality of delivery and cost–than the other options we looked into. After some thorough consideration, we chose to go with a WordPress site using the WPLMS theme from Themeforest.
