Microlearning Video on the Go – Tip 1

I’ll be in Austin, Texas next week to take part in the Mobile Learning Conference and Expo. I’ve become very engaged with video development, particularly short-form videos. These might be called microvideos or microlearning videos, and despite varying interpretations of what constitutes microlearning, there’s little doubt video can be a useful medium for learning. Even better, production cycles can be very short, so products are completed in a fraction of the time it takes to create large-scale elearning products and incrementally released.

One topic I’ll address at the conference is microlearning video production while on the go. The basic concept is that video production is about acquiring assets for video and then sequencing them in an interesting way. When you’re mobile and inspiration strikes, there are a number of things you can do in that moment to acquire assets to use later in video production, armed only with your smartphone.
