MSB-Plymouth Student Honored with TwinWest Career Path Scholarship

“People tend to center their lives around their biggest problem. But that gets you nowhere. Instead, you need to stay focused on your plan.”

Wise advice from Minnesota School of Business student, Jong Wong. That mindset is what helped earn him the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce’s Career Path Scholarship. Wong and 23 other local adult learners were officially honored during a luncheon October 6, 2015.

The TwinWest Foundation established the scholarship to help adult learners, particularly those seeking vocational or technical skills, achieve the training they need. In doing so, it also helps the local economy by building a skilled workforce for local companies.

Like many Minnesota School of Business (MSB) students, there is very little that is traditional about Jong’s educational journey. He moved to the United States from Hong Kong at the age of 17 and completed his high school education at Wayzata High School in 2009.
