MSB- St. Cloud Students Promote Sports Training from the Inside Out

“I’ve never done anything like this before. It’s been so awesome,” said Minnesota School of Business massage therapy student, Aimee Carag.

Carag and 17 other massage and medical assistant students from the St. Cloud campus spent the day putting their skills to use in a big way at the Spartan Challenge at Rocori High School on July 28. The event, now in its fifth year, gives high school athletes from around the area a chance to put their summer strength and conditioning efforts to the test.

Close to 250 students from six high schools competed in six events this year: bench press, power clean, back squat, vertical test, pro agility and 40-yard sprint.

Jake Zauher, the head strength coach at Rocori High School, started the event five years ago as a way to see how his summer strength program and his athletes stacked up against other schools. The event has grown each year since.
