New online e-learning portal educates investors on unlisted Specific Investment Products

SINGAPORE – An online e-learning portal to educate investors on unlisted Specific Investment Products (SIPs) has been launched, said the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) and Securities Association of Singapore (SAS) on Monday.

An industry initiative, the free e-learning tool ( highlights the key features and risks of SIPs, allowing investors to better understand unlisted SIPs which contain derivatives or have more complex features and risks.

With the portal, investors can also test their knowledge of SIPs by taking part in assessments after completing each e-learning module.

In addition, they can also earn a certificate after passing the Customer Knowledge Assessment (CKA) conducted by financial intermediaries.
