In a study from Federal Reserve Bank of New York, a majority of people, roughly 73 percent, have jobs that are not related to their major in college. What does that mean for college students? Put less importance on your emphasis and more on transferable skills earned through your degree.

Many students end up switching their major, nationally 80 percent of college students opt for a different major at least once before graduation. Many also end up switching schools as well, often for various reasons and preferences.

Traditional college students coming right from high school may not have enough time to reflect and consider what career choice might be best for their personality and individual aptitudes. A business degree is an excellent route because you can do so many different things with such a broad degree.
