It has been well documented that Thomas Edison had to try a number of times to make the lightbulb that to most people would seem unbelievable – 1,000 attempts. There are two ways to view this feat. The first is to state that Edison failed 999 times and the second is to look at the success of 1,000 trials. What do you believe it took for Edison to keep trying this many times? How do you face challenges in your career that seem to result in failure? The key ingredient to finding success is being determined to learn and having the courage to keep trying regardless of circumstances.
