There are a lot of online course marketplaces (MOOC) these days, and Udemy is the biggest.
In 2016, Udemy announced they’d passed over 10 million students with over 15,000 online courses, and over 25 million students enrolled across their marketplace. Now they advertise over 55,000 online courses, and who knows how many more students and instructors.
However big they actually are, one thing we know is those are huge numbers, which means a ton of exposure for an online course creator.
But, is being a part of a massive online course marketplace such as Udemy a benefit to you as an online course creator? Do more eyeballs mean more money in your pocket, or do you just get lost in the sea of creators?
We spoke with a bunch of online course creators about the pros and cons of Udemy and other online course marketplaces to try and come to a consensus.
