I have always been interested in the latest educational technology products, devices, and tools. When asked to be one of the few teachers to pilot Otus in my school district, I was the first onboard. My excitement got the best of me after exploring the platform, so I set up my classes without the official go ahead from the tech department. I wanted to see how Otus could enhance my current instructional practices and routines. Little did I know, this platform would rock my “teaching” world.
When I first logged onto Otus, I was impressed by the variety of features the platform had to offer. I could create and assign assessments, track student participation, track student behavior, share resources, blog, and poll. The list goes on and on. Of course, I was tempted to try all the features at once but instead tackled one at a time to ensure I was implementing each feature with fidelity.
